It's been awhile and there's so much going on. I'll have to try to be more active in keeping up our blog. We have had another doctors appointment and the baby is doing so well. I think a little better than well, Baby's moving around so much in my tummy, the doctor had a hard time finding the heartbeat! We had to go into the big ultrasound room and look that way. We got to see the Baby's spine and hear the heartbeat. And the doctor got to see why I'm always so sick - the Baby wouldn't stop moving the entire time. She said she has never seen such an active baby even at our first ultrasound. It's crazy how much I love this little one even though it punishes me daily :) I have a lot of pictures and videos but still haven't uploaded them yet!
My first Mother's Day was amazing. I wasn't able to spend time with my Mom but we went to Kort's Moms' house and had a real nice time. Then for dinner Kort, Matt and me were headed to get some Mongolian food when my stomach started to hurt. It was these random aches that felt like spikes or pinches all over my stomach. For about 5 minutes I just thought it was cramping but then I put my hand on my stomach and I felt the bump bumps and it was the Baby! I was so excited. For another 20 minutes my little one continued to bump bump me and Kort and Matt were able to feel the little kicks. It was the weirdest feeling. I thought it was too soon to be feeling those kicks but my doctor said that considering how she's seen how much the baby moves and how strong Baby's getting, she isn't too surprised. I have a doctors appointment the first week of June so that should be fun to see the progress again. Yay!
School is getting a bit more fun. I still have my issues with people, but what else is new?! I am loving what I do and it just makes it interesting having to run to the restroom in the middle of a color application, lol. I can't wait to be finished but with my leave after the baby is born, I'm not going to finish until early next year. Geez. I've got to say, I am trying to be more open about enjoying classes and just being more tolerant. But of course, I'm still working on trying to shutup and not say what I think as much. It gets me into trouble and sometimes hurts peoples feelings when that's not my intention. My brain to mouth filter is working overtime these days. But all in all, a great month so far and I've got to spend this weekend with my parents and family and last weekend with Kort's family so it's been wonderful. And I do have to say, Congrats to my big bro Omar for graduating Magna Cum Laude with his Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering! WoooooooHooooooo! And to my little bro who graduates in one week : ) Man I'm getting old...
There is so much more to life than you think. Just when you start to get too complacent life kicks you in the butt and gets you going again! I love that we have a wonderful family and a beautiful home but most of all, I love that I have such an amazing journey ahead of me filled with people that I love and respect. :) My little girl Alexis and my husband mean the entire world to me and they make my life so much fuller and joyous at every moment!

BLAH BLAH BLAH
This week has been really tough. Bad week at school with all the crummy instructors (and some good ones) and people in general just pretending that they know anything about teaching. Some people are great hairdressers no questions asked but some really need to stick to what they know and leave education out of it. Wow they suck.
My last day of work was on Thursday so that is a relief but now I'm just going crazy! I keep worrying about bills and the baby not having what it needs and ahhhhhhhh! Not like I made practically anything but it still put gas in the car. Ugh. And my cell phone is out of commission thanks to our service carrier. We are so upset with them that I am going to cancel my phone. I don't want to deal with the BS. I already have enough to worry about to not add AT&T to my list of worrying to do's.
Other than a few bad days, feeling unappreciated and ignored (everyone knows I HATE chocolate syrup!) it's been going good enough. Just a bad week. I figure out of all the great weeks and months and with Baby not making me as sick anymore, it was bound to happen. Now the kid seems to think its funny to sit on my sciatic nerve and make me a cripple, lol. I know it shouldn't be happening yet...but surprise!...it seems like everything that could possibly happen, is happening. I won't complain too long though. I love the heck out of this little one and can't wait to hold him/her in my arms. :) Just that thought made me feel a whole lot better!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! I haven't written for a week, but not much has happened. I'm still arguing with Baby over being sick but I think I'm starting to win (finally!). Easter was a lot of fun. We watched Marley and Me and Night at the Museum and they were both fun movies. But I have to say Marley and Me was amazing! It was like watching Achilles attack my house all over again, except they had more patience than we did. We sure do miss him. I'm glad Buddy is such a good boy. It was such a wonderful movie and really had great perspective. We're definitely buying it. We had dinner at the Kort's Moms' house. It was delicious but of course I was full so fast, I didn't eat everything on my plate. Kort, our niece Keisha, our nephew Parker and me went ou
tside and played football for some of the afternoon. It was really fun. My arm and back are really sore today! We didn't tackle or anything we just threw the ball around some. It was such a beautiful day yesterday. I hope there's many more to come. I loved how warm it was. And of course Kort's Mom got us all a little Easter treat. I got a pair of really cute red earrings she made and a bag of Hershey's Kisses along with some lawn decorations for when we get our home. Kort got his own bag of Hershey's Kisses because he hates to share, lol. I talked to my parents on the phone and then my little sister too. All in all, it was a great week.

11 3/4 Weeks! Yay!

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I'm so excited! We had our first ultrasound today and Baby was such a cutie. Baby gave us so many different poses and we got lots of ultrasound pictures. We got to see the face and the arms waiving about and the little legs moving to get comfortable. Baby was amazing! I laughed and it moved around and did so many things the doctor says you rarely get to see in the first ultrasound. We saw it's heartbeat and got to see it's beautiful face. Guess what?! It has my chin :) (Kort says it could still develop his, but with a chin as prominent as mine, you just can't change back, lol).

It was such a beautiful day today, we went to show everyone the pictures and how ecstatic we are. Then we decided to wash the cars and wax the Cobalt. It took 2 hours and we are exhausted. All in all, the cars look great, we feel great and we know Baby is safe and super healthy in my tummy :) ! Yay!Friday, April 3, 2009
Update - Sorry it's been a while...Kind of long!
It's been a while since I've posted any blogs! Wow. I am so bad at keeping up with everything that I have going on. I figured since I am at home today, sick again!, that I woul
d try and keep up. This weekend was a bit of a shocker. Saturday I went to school the entire day! Wooohooo! I didn't feel sick hardly at all and Kort came in to get his haircut. He looked so adorable. I think I did a good job. Then we went straight from there to my brother's 31st birthday party. That was hilarious! We dressed him up as a " Prison Beeyotch" lol. I will have to post pictures soon. I have lost the connection that goes from my computer to the camera so posting pictures is on hold until then. But I got some from my birthday party and my bro-in-law Lionel. They are funny. I have more, but I'll have to post them later. I love the one with all the gals in the family. We look good! :) I'm getting distracted.
While at my brothers b-day party we get a call saying my mom is in the hospital. She was cleaning at work with
a serious chlorox cleaner and a lady dumped a blue bucket out and pressure washed it in the same area as my mo
m. The chemical she dumped was an acid based chemical and put the two together = disaster. My mom was so sick and my Dad had to pick her up from work. On their way home she got really bad and my Dad got a police officer to pull over and help him. They called the ambulance and got her to a hospital. It was awful for her. Yesenia, Bimb and I went to St. Anthony to see my mom and by the time we got to the hospital, she was doing a lot better. She still couldn't eat anything that was liquid and they were detoxing her and getting stool samples to make sure everything was good. But man were we scared. She had all the symptoms of a stroke. My Dad rarely cries and he was a wreck. Thank goodness she's better now. It was funny though, she hated the "food" they made her eat and kept saying it wasn't food. I took pictures of her in the hospital and afterwards did her makeup and her hair to make her feel pretty in a yucky environment. My Mom's always beautiful though :) so it wasn't hard to pretty her up. She was happy when the doc came in and discharged her at 9:30pm! Oh and my Dad had a huge reality check. My Mom does everything for him (I mean EVERYTHING) and he was on his own for two days and nights, cooking and cleaning, it was funny to watch him.

Oh yeah...I threw up the entire way there and I thought my brother was going to spew just watching me :) Lots of smiley faces on that one. He let me cut his hair though on Tuesday and it turned out really nice. I was happy. Wierd week, but all together everything is going great. Baby still makes me super sick, but I'm getting a little better at tolerating it. Doc appointment on Monday - can't wait to hear Baby's heartbeat!

Just Hanging Out
I got a wonderful surprise yesterday morning! Sarah sent me a package with gifts for Baby and for me and Kort. It was great. The baby stuff is so cute! I can't wait to get the pictures up. Kort fell in love with the Winnie the Pooh blanket. I am particularly fond of the Cocoa Butter stretch marks preventor, lol. And Kort will be too in a few more months. Thanks Klaners!
Kort and I went to his sister Tracie's house last night and it was a lot of fun. It was kind of a birthday dinner get together. I was feeling awful all day and finally started to feel better around 7pm. We went to Walmart to get stuff for dinner and it was so bad I had to take a tomato out of the bag and hold the bag just in case my stomach gave out. That's pretty bad. But dinner was amazing and we stayed up until midnight playing Rummie. I've never played before and it was pretty interesting. Of course Tracie won and Kort was in second place. I have never been great at any games but I always enjoy myself. I just wanted to enjoy the night because I knew in the morning I would be miserable again. And sure enough, miserable again I was. Puking stinks. I hate it. I didn't go to school because I didn't stop throwing up until 2pm and then I was so exhausted I took a nap. Blah.
We took some awesome pictures, but I have yet to post them. I'll have to figure out how to work the camera and I'll get them on here.

Getting Better ... I think?
I think I might be getting better! At least I feel better today. I was really getting awful and then last night was the w
orst night I think I've had in a very very long time. I had the dry heaves all night and couldn't sleep and was spinning. But this morning I woke up, and I felt good. I ate a bowl of cereal and then threw up, but then again, felt good. Went to the dentist and still felt good. I had lunch with Kort and no sickness. I kept all the food down! It's almost 4pm and I'm just now feeling a little bit queasy, but probably because I need some carrots or something. If I start to feel as good as I did this morning, I think this pregnancy thing might not be so bad.

If I start to feel as good as I did this morning, I think this pregnancy thing might not be so bad. So Kort and I are having a little bit of a tough time finding things to do around the house. I feel awful confining him, but I just haven't felt well enough to go out and do anything. He says it doesn't matter and that he's fine, but I really feel like I'm imprisoning him. He wanted to go bowling the other night and I didn't feel well enough to do anything so I told him no. I keep telling him to go out with his friends and have fun, because for the next month, I'm not going to feel up to doing anything. Of course we go on our daily walks for exercise and we love watching movies together, but
it is getting kind of crappy being in the house all the time. Any suggestions?? Stuff that won't make me puke my guts out, again. Other than that little dilemma everything else is going great. My brother and sister in law came by last weekend and dropped off the bassinet they are letting me borrow. I was so excited! It's beautiful and I think the baby will love it (when I'm not cradling him/her in my arms). We are going to visit our pup Buddy this weekend, permitting I feel good, and I'm really excited. He's so adorable and apparently is behaving really good at his Uncle J's house. We went over to visit Kort's Mom on Sunday and she was really nice and gave us this cinnamon bread that she made. I haven't been able to eat much of it, but it is soooooo good! I've talked to my sisters and my parents a couple of times this week which has been really nice. I've talked to all of my friends this week too. Everyone is being so great at keeping in touch with me because I suck at it. Well, I think I've been long winded enough for one day. See ya'll!
