Thanksgiving-So Much To Be Thankful For.

This Thanksgiving my family was going to all meet at Jackpot and have a wonderful meal at a buffet and not worry about cooking, cleaning or anything. We were just going to eat and have a great time with each other. Turns out the weather was not going to allow that so we each stayed in our own homes and met up for the weekend in St. Anthony.

Kort, Alexis and I spent Thanksgiving day watching football (our Patriots whooped some butt!) and having dinner at his sisters house. We then came home and enjoyed our night before my St. Anthony trip.

On Wednesday, Kort woke up with intense pain. He was in the bathroom nearly in tears because he had such awful pain. We went to the ER and found out he had kidney stones. He still hasn't passed the last stone but he is on some medications to make it a little easier. We joke that now he knows what labor felt like, lol.

Saturday, while we were in St. Anthony, we had a small babyshower for my sister with my moms friends and family from St. Anthony. It was fun! We played some fun games and got to eat delicious food. All in all my thanksgiving holiday weekend was very successful. I am so thankful for my family and all the things that I'm allowed to have and cherish. I'm especially thankful to have someone who watches over us and helps in the tough times and helps us be appreciative in the good times. Happy Thanksgiving!

3 Year Anniversary!

Nov 17th was our 3 Year Wedding Anniversary! It was wonderful :) I am so thankful to have a loving, talented and very patient husband who loves me and Alexis dearly and does everything for us.  We celebrated by going out to Olive Garden for dinner (my favorite!) and we went to see Harry Potter 7 last night too.  It was awesome! I love that we enjoy similar things and that we have our nice little house to come home to and our little girl is so dang wonderful too.  This Thanksgiving is very special to us because we are starting our own traditions and instilling great values in Alexis.  She is such an amazing kid! She is now brushing her teeth without fussing and walking a few steps at a time.  She is way funny!

Work is also fantastic! I love what I do and I love the people I get to share my time with and my clients are absolutely wonderful.  They give me compliments, constructive critisizm and just plain old good conversation.  I am sooooo thankful I found something that I am really good at! It's nice to find that one thing in life that you know you do well.

God bless you all and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season! I love love love the Holidays!!!

Sick.

Yuck. I hate being sick.  I guess after a huge party with over 40 people over, I should've expected it.  My sister, Yesenia, is sick and so is Kort.  And having a sore throat is the least crappy part...it's all this phlegm! Ick. Ick. Ick.

Winter is here I guess....

Alexis' 1st Birthday Party!

Alexis' 1st birthday party was a magical day. Everything was perfect! It started like this...

I prepared for every aspect of this special day. Kort and I decorated the entire ceiling with crepe paper in purple, pink and white to create the illusion of a ballroom with Happy 1st birthday banners and balloons. We put up princess pictures on the walls of our garage with balloons and swirling hanging decorations. We had games for the kids in the garage. There was pin the crown on the princess, playdough wars, puzzle races, the Wii and silly string and bubbles.

We were giving out raffle tickets all night to the kids and whoevers name was drawn received a prize. The grand prize was first shot at the piƱata and a 2lb bag of suckers. The kids had to compete against each other seeing who could outlast in jumping jacks and silly games like that. They all had a blast.

Inside we had the BSU gammon and the adults got to relax and eat burgers, cake and ice cream sundaes. We talked and enjoyed everyones company. Oh and did I mention it was a costume party??? It was awesome! Kort and I were the king and queen and Alexis was the princess. My nephew Camren was Buzz Lightyear and my Dad was Woody. My Mom was a witch and Mona was a cat. Yesenia was Mulan and Irving was Lancelot. Grandma Pam came as the fairy godmother and I think her outfit won! Gma Bettie was Hawaiian. Kayla was Tinkerbell, Alyssia was a witch from Hocus Pocus and TJ was a starwars guy. My nieces Keisha and Taylor were Minnie Mouse and a ghost and Korts friend Jen's daughter Suzanna came as Jasmine. My friend Sandra's daughter came as a fairy. Everyone looked wonderful in their costumes.

I stayed up until 2am making Alexis' cake and decorating the house. It was a beautiful yummy cake. It was perfect for my little princess. Her gifts were all so thoughtful and beautiful. She is o e spoiled and loved little girl. Daddy and I love her to pieces!

After our guests headed home, my family sat down and played Texas Hold'em all night. It was Everything Kort and I pictured our little girls first celebration would be like. We are so fortunate!

Curly Hair!

Alexis' hair is starting to turn curly! Yay!

Eating Solids and Cows Milk!

I just love when I wake up early in the morning (4am!) and find my baby girl crying and covered in urine because she has officially outgrown size 3 diapers.  I pick her up, get her cleaned up, changed, and fed.  She goes back to sleep.  Daddy goes off to work, gives us both a kiss. About 7:30am, Alexis wakes up and gives me lots of kisses and hugs.  She was as happy as can be and very lovey.  :) It's mornings like this one that erase every naughty thing she does :) I love her so much.

We got up, took a bath, and now its time for her nap because she is still tired from her restless night.  And I'm off to the store to buy bigger diapers.

I also officially started her on days full of solids, rice cereal once a day, and cows milk.  What a transition! I know technically I'm supposed to wait until she is a year old, but my formula ran out and four days early.  We decided to make the transition on Sunday.  She has been loving the milk.  Getting her to eat solids and milk from the sippy cup has been tricky.  I guess that's why its called a transitional period.

Happy Halloween!!!

Pumpkins carved by my sister in law Tina's husband. I thought they were cool.

We had a wonderful halloween this year! We went to two parties and we took Alexis trick or treating at family's houses.  She was so cute but did not want to get into her outfit! Little stinker, lol.  She had a great time and so did we.  Success!
